Mençuna Lodges is in the Arhavi district of Artvin, on Turkey’s eastern Black Sea coast, at the entrance to the Kamilet Valley. The Kamilet Stream flows in front of the lodges, and the 90-metre Mençuna Waterfall is about 200 metres away as the crow flies — roughly a 20-minute walk along a sloping, stone-paved path.

From the centre of Arhavi it is 16 km to the waterfall car park, about 20 minutes by car. Head inland towards Küçükköy and the Kamilet Valley; the whole route is a two-lane asphalt road and is straightforward to drive, with forest and stream views for most of the way. Free private parking is available at the property, and the waterfall car park is free as well.
The nearest airports are Rize-Artvin Airport and Trabzon Airport. Guests coming from the Georgian side sometimes fly into Batumi Airport, as the border is not far away. From any of these airports, the simplest option is to rent a car or take a taxi to Arhavi and on up the valley.
There is no public transport to the lodges, so you will need a private car or a taxi for the final stretch. If you travel by intercity coach, get off in Arhavi or Hopa and continue by local taxi. If you need help arranging this, call us on +90 532 485 49 58.
Once you are here, the valley is the main attraction: the Mençuna Waterfall, walks in the Kamilet Valley and the historic Double-Arched Bridges. In Arhavi you can visit the Dikyamaç Lifestyle Museum, and Borçka Karagöl is about 70 km away, around an hour’s drive.
